Al Fatihah is an obligatory inclusion in Islamic prayers. Every Muslim must start their prayer with this Surah for each Raka'a, for without it a prayer is incomplete and deficient. It is recited at least 17 times during the five obligatory Islamic prayers. 6. Recitation after Surah Al-Fatihah: It is proven from the Sunnah of Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W.) that after reciting Surah Al-Fatihah, one should recite another Surah from Quran or recite some Aayahs of Quran in the first two Rakaat of Fardh Salah (initial first two units of the obligatory prayers).
